How to Use the Image Split Tool
- Select an Image: Click the designated area or drag and drop your image file (JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP). A preview of the selected image will appear on a canvas.
- Set Split Options:
- Split Direction:
- Grid (Rows & Columns): Splits the image into a grid. Uses "Number of Rows" and "Number of Columns".
- Horizontal Strips: Slices into horizontal pieces. Uses "Number of Rows".
- Vertical Strips: Slices into vertical pieces. Uses "Number of Columns".
- Manual (Draw Regions): Allows you to draw rectangular areas on the image preview to define pieces. The "Number of Rows/Columns" inputs are hidden in this mode. Use the "Clear Current Selections" button if you need to redraw.
- Number of Rows/Columns: Visible for Grid, Horizontal, or Vertical modes. Enter how many pieces/divisions you want.
- Output Format: Choose PNG, JPEG, or WEBP for the split pieces.
- Split Direction:
- Split Image: Once an image is selected and options are set (or regions drawn for manual mode), click the "Split Image" button.
- Preview & Download Pieces: Thumbnails of the split pieces will be displayed. Click the "Download" button below each piece to save it individually.
Note: All processing is done in your browser. The tool divides the image as evenly as possible in grid/strip modes; the last row/column might differ slightly if dimensions aren't perfectly divisible.
